This session will explore the different approaches in ensuring that displaced persons are included in recovery processes according to these key inclusion functions:
(1) Full and meaningful participation and leadership of displaced persons groups and individuals in identifying and reducing risk
(2) Promotes equality of rights and opportunities for displaced persons in the face of risk
(3) Differentiates and responds to the diverse characteristics, capacities and vulnerabilities of displaced persons, majority of who are women and children
(4) Building resilience of displaced persons by transforming power relations and removing barriers that keep them excluded.
Exisiting good examples and lessons learned of participatory approaches, methods and practices will be presented and discussed. Real-time and active feedback and contribution will be sought from the audience digitally. Concrete recommendations to the WRC will be made based on the presentations and discussion.
