From new infrastructure that includes climate considerations to insurance solutions for private citizens, Saint Lucia’s Director of Financial Administration talks about measures the country is taking to reduce disaster impacts. The “Stories of Risk and Resilience” series highlights the experiences of Caribbean countries as they weather the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane season in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This series has been produced in the frame of the World Bank’s Saint Lucia Vision 2030 project financed by the European Union under the Africa, Caribbean, Pacific – European Union Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Program, managed by the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery.
