The ADRF Initiative, launches in 2015 and implemented by the GFDRR & World Bank, supports the development of risk financing strategies at regional, national and local levels to help African countries make informed decisions to improve post-disaster financial response capacity to mitigate socio-economic, fiscal & financial impacts of disasters.

Floods and droughts pose the most significant and recurring risk to Malawi, with the highest impacts ocurring in the central & southern regions.
