Building Resilience through Institutions, Communities & Knowledge : Proceedings from the 2026 BRICK Knowledge Exchange Event

The BRICK 2026 Knowledge Exchange Event was organized as part of the Romanian Assistance for Post-Disaster Improvement and Development (RAPID) Project, financed under the Technical Assistance Financing Facility for Disaster Prevention and Preparedness (TAFF). The event took place in Bucharest from 24 to 27 March 2026, bringing together more than 100 practitioners and experts from across Europe and Asia to share lessons on disaster recovery, emergency preparedness and response, and how to put the right “bricks” in place for more resilient societies. Designed around the concept of ‘Building Resilience through Institutions, Communities and Knowledge’, the event offered a platform for peer-to-peer learning, drawing lessons for current and future recovery efforts and showcasing knowledge developed through activities implemented through TAFF.
