The GFDRR Analytics Team will present an upcoming global report on how natural disasters result in different impacts for women and men, boys and girls, by mapping out and analyzing gender gaps in exposure and vulnerability, preparedness and coping capacity. Since gender dynamics matter for disaster impacts and the capacity to recover, they are crucial to consider as part of policy design, as well as analytics. The study therefore identifies policy recommendations for DRM and resilience building activities to maximize impact, and paves a way forward for analytics in this space.
