Cabo Verde Natural Hazards’ Supply Chain Disruptions: Assessing the Impacts to Maritime and Air Transportation Cabo Verde is strategically located in the Mid-Atlantic ocean. The Island Nation can play a significant role in regional integration and at the same time heavily depends on overseas supply to meet its domestic consumption. To this end, a novel model to assess potential impacts from natural hazards to both maritime and air transportation has been proposed. The case study indicates the possible level of impacts to ports and airports and the implication to the supply chain by providing government authorities and stakeholders the possibility to evaluate disruptions in inventory levels and transport routes. The Technical Assistance has been complemented with the development of a serious game simulation to allow decision makers and technical staff to contemplate the complex nature of resilient investment decision-making. Results are expected to support the Government’s investment prioritization in future budget cycles.
