The objective of the proposed grant, as a
continuation to previous support provided to the Government under the Cat DDO
and associated TA Program, is to strengthen the resilience of economic growth and
local economic activity to disaster and climate-related shocks in Cabo Verde. To
this end, the proposed grant focuses on three mutually reinforcing components
that seek to mainstream Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Climate Change
Adaptation (CCA) considerations into three essential dimensions to lay the foundations
of a resilient and inclusive growth model, namely: (i) fiscal accounts, (ii) key
growth-enhancing sectors and (iii) territorial planning.
