Managing Risks for a Safer Built Environment in Uganda

This report provides a comprehensive assessment of the building regulatory framework in Uganda. The report was developed with the strategic objective of supporting the government to improve building safety and resilience across the country. The analysis and recommendations outlined in the report provide inputs with which the government can sustain and scale-up the momentum behind its building regulatory reform agenda. The World Bank will continue working with the Government of Uganda to determine what technical assistance and investments can be dedicated to pushing forward this critical agenda in order to promote safe and resilient construction across the country.
