This Global Rapid Post-Disaster Damage Estimation (GRADE) report summarizes the direct 1 economic damage to buildings and infrastructure caused the magnitude 6.0 earthquake that struck Afghanistan on August 31, 2025. This report provides critical insights to inform humanitarian assistance, recovery planning, and strategic discussions on risk reduction. The assessment does not consider the losses or needs resulting from the event.
