The Grant Objective is
to enable the Government of the Philippines integrate disaster risk
management, disaster risk reduction and overall resilience considerations in
three provinces (Bohol, Surigao del Norte (Siargao Island), and Siquijor)
that are part of the proposed Sustainable, Inclusive, and Resilient Tourism Project. This grant will provide targeted technical assistance to participating provinces in the
following areas: (i) upgrading local infrastructure with adequate resilience
standards (i.e., solid waste, septage, drainage and wastewater treatment
facilities, disaster preparedness facilities, etc.) and (ii) integrating
disaster risk and crisis management in tourism development plans of the four tourism destinations.
