The grant
objective is to improve the understanding of the challenges and adaptation
needs for improved urban resilience. The proposed assistance contributes to Sudan’s
development agenda by developing the knowledge base for longer-terms resilience
building at the urban-DRM-FCV nexus. It aims to develop diagnostics and prepare
policy recommendations to enhance disaster resilience in the context of the
country’s changing exposure landscape due to rapid population and settlement
growth, climate change and disaster induced displacement.
