The Building Regulations Atlas is a new open-access knowledge platform designed to make global building regulation data more accessible and actionable for policymakers, practitioners, and development partners worldwide. It draws on multiple complementary datasets, produced by the World Bank, spanning resilience, energy efficiency, and built environment, together covering regulatory frameworks across more than 150 economies in all regions.
The Building Regulation Atlas was made possible with the financial support from the Japan-World Bank Program for Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Management (DRM) in Developing Countries, which is financed by the Government of Japan and receives technical support from the World Bank GFDRR Tokyo DRM Hub. The Atlas also received technical support from the Knowledge for Change Program (KCP).
