Closing the Loop - Integrated Action
With images of the devastation caused by the Great Tohoku earthquake and tsunami still fresh in our minds, we are now witnessing one of the greatest humanitarian crisis in decades in the Horn of Africa. The common thread between these very different but equally tragic events is the urgent need to build disaster resilience.
Recognizing the urgent need to identify and overcome barriers for coordination between humanitarian and development actors, in support of resilience, a high level dialogue on this topic was held in the margins of the World Bank - IMF Annual Meetings: Closing the Loop (see more information below).
