The Umbrella Program and the Standalone Trust Funds
In FY22, GFDRR transitioned into an umbrella trust fund structure. The umbrella started with one anchor Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) and now has five Associated Trust Funds (ATFs):
- Japan–World Bank Program for Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Management in Developing Countries (Japan Phase III)
- EU-South Asia Capacity Building for DRM Program
- ACP-EU Disaster Risk Management Program
- EU Resilient Caribbean Program (EUReCa)
- City Resilience Program (CRP)
- USAID Single Donor Trust Fund (USAID SDTF)
Together, these trust funds work across GFDRR’s four priority areas and two cross-cutting priority areas, which have been delineated in the 2026-2030 GFDRR Strategy.
