The grant objective is to strengthen community-based adaptation and disaster
resilience leveraging the new Village Law (6/2014) in Indonesia. This will be achieved by
(i) mapping community vulnerability according to climate risks and disaster
exposure; (ii) identifying possibly community-based adaptation actions relevant
to different risk profiles; and (iii) integrating climate risks and disaster
resilience activities more effectively into the annual village planning and
budgeting cycle. The outputs will inform implementation support for the Institutional Strengthening for Improved
Village Service Delivery Project (P3PD) in maximizing its climate
co-benefits and contribute to a broader understanding on community-driven
social resilience in Indonesia.
