The development objective of the project is to build resilience to seismic risk in India through:
1) development of guidance on performance-based design of buildings, specifically hospitals in coordination with
the Health Global Practice, and other critical lifeline infrastructure
2) multi-hazard risk reduction and emergency preparedness measures for lifeline infrastructure and services
3) technical knowledge sharing on seismic safety and early warning systems, and
4) identification of suitable solutions for earthquake early warning system (EEWS) for Indian context.
