The objective is to strengthen the capability
of the Democratic Republic of Congo to strategically and measurably manage the
risk of natural hazards and extreme weather events to the airports and the
airport-city interfaces in Goma and Beni (North Kivu province) by creating a
knowledge management system and methodology for identifying, assessing, and
prioritizing risk mitigation investments, geared towards a more resilient
transport infrastructure and an enhanced socio-economic wellbeing of the
community.
