The purpose of the assignment
is to develop and support adapted climate and disaster risk management
engagements that are appropriate in fragility, conflict, and violence (FCV)
settings to encourage earlier and more effective risk management and support
peace and stability. The aim is to enhance county-level capacity to work in
partnership with communities to identify, mitigate and respond to risks of both
natural hazards/climate change and conflict in selected counties and
communities in arid and semi-arid lands affected by climate hazards and
conflict and violence. This assignment aims to achieve the following specific
objectives:

· Develop and validate a framework for the participatory
assessment of natural hazards/climate change and conflict risks in North and
North-East Kenya.

· Develop a technical briefing paper on the
framework.

· Carry out knowledge sharing on the framework
and related planning process.
