Strengthening Disaster Risk Management and Resilience Policies in Fiji

The objective is to support the Government of Fiji as it revises its National Disaster Management Bill and Plan which aim to strengthen disaster preparedness, response and enhance climate resilience in Fiji.If possible, to reflect the support requested by the government of Fiji, the ongoing dialogue and support over the past year, we propose that the objectives be changed to support the government to enhance resilience of buildings, ocean and coastal ecosystems to climate and disaster risks and financial protection of vulnerable and poor people after disasters, improving hydro-meteorological services and associated legislations
