The overall objective is to strengthen the disaster risk management capacity of the Government of Albania. Following the significant earthquake affecting Albania on November 26, 2019, the grant sub-objectives were amended to: support the post-earthquake damage, loss and needs assessment; enhance financial protection by assessing gaps and opportunities to develop a disaster risk financing strategy; improve the availability and use of disaster risk information and loss data for decision-making; and guide more holistic resourcing of local-level DRM through municipal, prefecture and national mechanisms.
