The objective of the proposed grant project is to provide
specialized expertise and technical assistance to the Government of Senegal to
support the design and development of complex coastal zone management and urban
resilience studies being implemented under the SERRP and PROGEP projects. Specifically,
this will support
the ongoing initiatives and facilitate evidence based decision making for (i) improving
the living conditions of the most vulnerable communities along the Langue de Barbarie; and (ii)
strengthening coastal zone management and urban planning in the City of Saint
Louis. Additionally, the project will support active dialogue and coordination amoungst
the various development partners to ensure effectiveness and maximize impact.
