The objective is to
develop the analytical basis to support relevant government ministries in strengthening the resilience of existing and planned school and other public facilities
across selected Pacific Island Countries.

Expected outputs include:Educational
facilities needs assessment and service delivery plan for Tonga;Asset mapping and
classification of common/representative building construction typologies,
fragility and vulnerability functions for at least two countries; Diagnostic studies to identify options for
strengthening and upgrading of common/representative
asset (building) typologies; A safer schools technical report
for Tuvalu, summarizing key observations and recommendations for improving school safety. Training & capacity building in at least
two of the following areas in at least two countries – building operation,
maintenance, vulnerability assessment and strengthening options
