Timor-Leste: Hazard Risk Assesment Synthesis Report

Timor-Leste is vulnerable to natural hazards including floods, strong winds, landslides, earthquakes, and tsunamis. The study evaluated the natural hazards and associate risks, with the aim to:

  • Assess the hazards and the risks to assets and people along Dili-Ainaro and Linked Road Corridor and to develop technical capacity of the concerned stakeholders on using quantified data for better understanding of risks
  • Carry out assessments of hazards, vulnerability, and risks of the selected study area focusing on landslides, floods, and strong wind hazards, to strengthen institutional capacity, and disseminate knowledge.
