The objective of the proposed
work is to pilot resilient design in World Bank’s power generation,
transmission and distribution network projects focused on three selected
investment operations in three different countries that are particularly
vulnerable to climate change. The proposed activities and country engagements
will help to achieve the overarching objectives of:

(a) addressing
the need to build resilience in a select set of World Bank projects, and

(b) using
these projects as an opportunity to develop and consolidate the analytical
approaches, necessary data and capacity building efforts needed by the
utilities and regulatory agencies in this area.
