The objective of the project is to have real time
in-depth understanding of flooding impacts in the Nile basin during the 2021
flood season (June-September).

The
project will directly support the implementation of the Nile Cooperation for
Climate Resilience Project NCCRP (P172848).
NCCRP aims to develop and enhance the robustness of early warning systems for
riverine flood, for flash flood and for droughts in the Nile Basin; develop
dissemination strategy and awareness programs; develop flood investment road
map; and conduct relevant capacity development for national governments. ENTRO in Ethiopia, NELSAP in
Rwanda and Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) in Rwanda implement various components of
the NCCRP.
