This is the same project as TF0B1365.The objective of this grant is to provide technical support
to the Ministry of Education to include disaster risk considerations on the
investments that will be made in school infrastructure following the current National
Plan for the Rehabilitation and Extension of School Infrastructure. This
project will be developed following the framework of the Roadmap for Safer and Resilient
Schools, which consists on a step-by-step guide produced by the World Bank to
be implemented by governments to develop large-scale investment plans on school
infrastructure to improve its safety and resilience to natural disasters, and
the quality of learning environments for children.

This technical assistance has been prepared in the frame of the Cabo Verde Cat DDO, and has benefited from preparatory work under TF0A7708, and supports the implementation of Cabo Verde National Strategy for DRR. This TA is implemented in partnership with the World Bank Education Team, in which activities will go in line with the ongoing Cabo Verde Education and Skills development Enhancement Project. The main outcome of this project will be the capacity building of the Ministry of Education to improve the efficiency of investments in school infrastructure and maximization of benefits in terms of safety of children to natural hazards.
