The main objective of the proposed grant is to enable officials of China’s new Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) to gain wider exposure thru international knowledge exchanges and share their extensive experience in managing disaster risks with their global peers. A secondary objective is for the World Bank to deepen its working relationship with the new ministry.
