The objective of the grant is to improve the
disaster-resilience of water supply in selected cities of Afghanistan, and in
particular to enhance the ability of the urban utility Afghanistan Urban Water Supply and Sewage State Owned Corporation (UWASS.soc, formerly "AUWSSC") to withstand natural catastrophes and
climate change related disasters.
