The primary objective of the grant, managed by the International Organization for Migration, is to contribute to enhancing the resilience of communities to disaster risk and assisting in adaptation to climate change in the Republic of Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia. The three main activities and their associated indicators are as follows: (i) participatory risk mapping and planning of community investments; (ii) beneficiary surveys and regional consultations to help design regional/national early warning systems; and (iii) geo-tagging and evaluation of public buildings and infrastructure with links to open source mapping platforms.
